Mark 1:15, “Repent ye, and believe the gospel.
📖 Devotional Message
The Reflection: To “repent” is literally to change your mind—to turn from your own way of thinking to God’s way. The Gospel is the “good news” that the Kingdom of God is accessible. Believing the Gospel isn’t just agreeing with a set of facts; it is an act of trust that opens our life to the influence of God’s reign. This turning and believing is a continuous process in the life of a believer. Every day we find areas where we need to “repent” of our self-reliance and “believe” again in His sufficiency.
Practical Application: Is there an area of worry or stress where you are relying on yourself? “Repent” (change your mind) about that situation and “believe” that God’s grace is sufficient for it right now.
