Abiding for Fruitfulness

John 15:5, “He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

📖 Devotional Message

The Reflection:

The Christian life is not about “doing” for God, but about “abiding” in God. Just as a branch does not struggle to produce grapes but simply remains attached to the vine, we produce spiritual fruit by maintaining our connection to Christ. “Without Him,” our most impressive works are spiritually zero. Fruit is the overflow of the life we have enjoyed in the secret place. If we focus on the abiding, the fruit (virtue, service, and transformed character) will take care of itself.

Practical Application:

Several times today, stop and consciously check: “Am I abiding?” Take thirty seconds to reset your heart’s focus on your union with Christ before continuing your work.

LUGANDA:

Okufumiitiriza:

Obulamu bw’Ekikristaayo si bwa “kukolera” Katonda, wabula “kubeera” mu Katonda. Ng’ettabi bwe litalwana kukola mizabbibu wabula ne lisigala nga lyesibye ku muzabbibu, naffe tubala ebibala eby’omwoyo nga tukuuma akakwate kaffe ne Kristo. “Awatali Ye,” emirimu gyaffe egisinga okuwuniikiriza mu by’omwoyo giri zero. Ebibala kwe kujjula kw’obulamu bwe tunyumirwa mu kifo eky’ekyama. Singa essira tulitadde ku biwangaala, ebibala (empisa ennungi, obuweereza, n’empisa ezikyusiddwa) bijja kwerabirira.

 Okukozesa mu nkola:

Emirundi egiwerako leero, yimirira era okebere mu bumanyirivu: “Ngumira?” Twala sekondi amakumi asatu okuddamu okuteeka essira ly’omutima gwo ku kwegatta kwo ne Kristo nga tonnagenda mu maaso na mulimu gwo.
