Matthew 7:14, “Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it
📖 Devotional Message
The Reflection:
The way to “life” is described as narrow and constricted. This is not because God is restrictive, but because the divine life has a specific nature that cannot be mixed with the “broad” ways of the world or the flesh. To walk this way requires the shedding of our self-will, our pride, and our natural preferences. It is a path of “constriction” that paradoxically leads to the greatest spiritual liberty. While many seek the easy, broad path of self-expression, the “few” who find the narrow way find the fullness of Christ.
Practical Application:
When you face a choice today between an easy compromise and a difficult obedience, choose the “narrow” path. It is the only road where the Spirit provides true peace.
