The Authority of the Word

Matthew 7:29, “For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes

📖 Devotional Message

The Reflection: True authority in the spiritual realm does not come from status or academic knowledge, but from the reality of life behind the words. The scribes spoke from tradition and external study, but Christ spoke from His being. When we speak “in the Spirit,” our words carry a weight that touches the conscience of others. This authority is meant to set people free, not to control them. As we are under God’s authority, our own words begin to carry the fragrance and power of His Kingdom.

Practical Application: Before you speak a word of advice or share your faith today, ensure you are first “under” the Lord’s authority. Let your words come from your experience of Him, not just from memory.

LUGANDA:

Okufumiitiriza: Obuyinza obw’amazima mu kifo eky’omwoyo tebuva mu kifo oba okumanya mu by’ensoma, wabula mu bulamu obw’amazima obuli emabega w’ebigambo. Abawandiisi baayogera okuva mu nnono n’okusoma okw’ebweru, naye Kristo yayogera okuva mu kubeerawo kwe. Bwe twogera “mu Mwoyo,” ebigambo byaffe bitwala obuzito obukwata ku muntu ow’omunda ow’abalala. Obuyinza buno bugendereddwamu kusumulula bantu, so si kubafuga. Nga bwe tuli wansi w’obuyinza bwa Katonda, ebigambo byaffe bennyini bitandika okutwala akawoowo n’amaanyi g’Obwakabaka bwe.

Okukozesa mu nkola: Nga tonnaba kwogera kigambo kya magezi oba okugabana ku kukkiriza kwo leero, kakasa nti osooka “wansi” w’obuyinza bwa Mukama. Ebigambo byo bive mu bumanyirivu bwo ku Ye, so si mu kujjukira kwokka.
