Devotional 274: The Animals in the Ark

Genesis 6:19–20; Psalm 36:6; Job 12:7–10; Colossians 1:16–17

God commanded Noah to bring animals of every kind into the ark to preserve life. Even in judgment, God remembered His creation.

Experiencing Christ Commentary reveals that God’s salvation embraces not only man but also creation. Christ is not only the Savior of mankind but also the center and sustainer of all creation (Col. 1:16–17).

The ark became a miniature creation preserved in Christ, pointing to the new creation in resurrection.

Main Points:

  • God’s salvation includes preservation of creation.
  • Christ holds all things together in Himself.
