Devotional 269: God’s Grief over Human Wickedness

Genesis 6:5–7; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10; Ezekiel 33:11

God saw that every thought of man’s heart was evil continually. He was grieved and regretted making man, deciding to blot him out.

Experiencing Christ Commentary unveils God’s heart: sin does not only break His law but wounds His heart. 

God’s grief shows His love — He desired fellowship but found corruption. Judgment flowed not from cruelty but from His holy sorrow.
