Devotional 200: The Anointing and the Fellowship of the Spirit

The anointing is closely tied to the fellowship of the Spirit. When we abide in the anointing, we experience deep fellowship with the Holy Spirit, which leads us into greater unity with the Father and the Son. This fellowship is not merely intellectual or doctrinal; it is experiential and relational, drawing us closer to God and to one another.

As we live in the anointing, we are brought into a deeper fellowship with other believers. The Spirit in us connects with the Spirit in others, and together, we experience the life of God in a corporate way. This fellowship is the basis for unity in the church, as it is the shared experience of the Spirit that binds us together in love.

Abiding in the anointing means that we are continuously experiencing the fellowship of the Spirit, not only individually but also with the church as a whole. The more we abide in this fellowship, the more we experience the divine reality and life that the Spirit brings. It is this fellowship that leads us to a deeper unity and love for one another.

Main Points:

  • Fellowship with the Spirit: Abiding in the anointing leads us into a deep, relational fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
  • Unity in the Spirit: The anointing creates a bond of unity and love among believers.
  • Experiencing Life Together: Through the fellowship of the Spirit, we experience the life of God both individually and corporately.
  • Deepening Relationship: As we abide in the anointing, our relationship with God and with one another deepens.

Reflection/Activity:

Consider the fellowship you share with other believers. How does the Spirit unite you with them? Pray for deeper fellowship with the Holy Spirit, both individually and corporately. Ask the Lord to reveal areas where you can build stronger relationships with others in the church through the anointing.

Prayer Confessions:

Lord, thank You for the fellowship of the Spirit that You have brought me into through the anointing.

Help me to continually abide in the anointing and experience deeper fellowship with You and with other believers.

Strengthen the bond of unity in the body of Christ through the fellowship of the Spirit.

I pray that the church would experience greater unity and love through the Spirit’s fellowship.

Lord, may I always be sensitive to Your Spirit and seek to abide in fellowship with You daily, Amen.
