Devotional 83: The Allotment of the Saints in the Light

The Father has qualified us for a share of the inheritance in Christ. This inheritance is described as the “allotted portion of the saints in the light.” Just as the children of Israel were given a portion of the good land, we too have been given Christ as our portion.

This allotment is in the light, signifying that our enjoyment of Christ is in the realm of divine light. When we walk in fellowship with God, we experience Him as the light that exposes, purifies, and enlightens. This light enables us to see and take possession of the riches in Christ.

To fully enjoy this allotment, we need to walk by faith and engage our spirit. Like Joshua and Caleb, we must take the land through spiritual warfare, rejecting the enemy’s lies and laying hold of Christ’s riches. This enjoyment strengthens us to live a victorious Christian life and be built up into His dwelling place.

Thought of the day/Main Points:
– The Father has qualified us for a share in Christ, our divine inheritance.
– The allotment is in the light, requiring fellowship with God and walking in divine illumination.
– Possessing Christ as our portion involves spiritual labor and warfare.
– Our enjoyment of Christ builds us up for His dwelling place

Prayer Confessions:
Father, thank You for qualifying me to partake of Christ as my inheritance.
Lord, bring me fully into the light that I may see, enjoy, and possess all that You are.
Strengthen me to walk by faith and take possession of my portion in Christ.
Protect me from the enemy’s lies and distractions as I labor to experience You.
Build me up with others into Your dwelling place as we enjoy Christ together, Amen.
