Devotional 73: The Father’s Element—Love in His Eternal Plan

The Father’s element of love is the foundation of His eternal plan. His love is not merely an emotion but an essential part of His being. 1 John 4:8 declares, “God is love,” indicating that His nature and actions are all rooted in love.

John 3:16 reveals the greatest expression of the Father’s love: the giving of His Son for the salvation of mankind. This sacrificial love brought us not only redemption but also eternal life, enabling us to enter into a loving relationship with Him.

Romans 5:5 shows that the Father’s love is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, making it experiential and real in our daily lives. This love not only saves us but also works within us, transforming us into those who express the same love to others.

Living by the Father’s element of love means allowing His love to fill, motivate, and direct our lives. It means becoming channels of His divine love to build up the Body of Christ and fulfill His eternal purpose.
