Devotional 68: Living by the Son’s Grace

The grace of the Son is the divine supply that enables us to live the Christian life. John 1:16 declares that of His fullness we have all received, and this fullness is grace upon grace. Grace is not merely unmerited favor; it is Christ Himself as our life supply.

2 Corinthians 12:9 shows us that grace operates most effectively in our weakness. The Lord’s grace is sufficient—it fills up what we lack and enables us to experience His power in the midst of our human frailty. To live by the Son’s grace is to acknowledge our dependence on Him and to experience His sufficiency in every situation.

Titus 2:11-12 reveals that grace not only saves us but also trains us to live a godly life. This grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this age.

Living by the Son’s grace transforms our daily living, making us an expression of Christ’s life.
