Colossians 1:18 “And He is the Head of the Body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that He Himself might have the first place in all things.”

When we remain joined to Christ as the Head, we receive His direction and are nourished for growth and function.
However, the enemy seeks to disconnect believers from the Head by fostering independence, self-reliance, or division. The Spirit works to keep us connected, ensuring that Christ has the first place in all things. As each member submits to the Head, the Body grows in harmony, oneness, and effectiveness.

Lord, keep me connected to You as the Head of the Body.
Supply me with Your life and wisdom to fulfill my function in the Body.
Guard me from independence or division, keeping me joined to You.
Give You the first place in all things, individually and corporately.
