Devotional 163: The Spirit as the Life-Giving Spirit

The Spirit as the life-giving Spirit is Christ Himself in resurrection. As the life-giving Spirit, He imparts divine life into our spirit, making us alive with His life. This life is not only for our enjoyment but also for our growth and maturity in Christ.

Through the life-giving Spirit, we are regenerated, sanctified, and transformed. This Spirit supplies us with the divine life moment by moment, enabling us to live a victorious Christian life. He is the reality of Christ in us, and through Him, we can overcome sin, self, and the world.

To experience the life-giving Spirit, we must exercise our spirit and turn to the Lord in prayer and fellowship. As we do, the Spirit flows into every part of our being, filling us with God’s life and bringing us into deeper union with Him.
