1 John 2:27 “And as for you, the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you concerning all things and is true and is not a lie, and even as it has taught you, abide in Him.”
The Spirit as the anointing is the inward operation of God’s life in us. This anointing is the moving and working of the Spirit, teaching and guiding us into all truth. It is the divine “paint” applied to us, marking us with God’s nature and purpose.
The anointing also brings the reality of Christ into our experience. As we abide in the Lord, the anointing teaches us how to live, walk, and serve according to God’s will. This inward teaching leads us to know God in a deeper way and enables us to discern what is of Him.
To live under the anointing is to live in constant fellowship with the Spirit, allowing Him to work deeply in us and transform us into the image of Christ.
Main Points:
– The Anointing as the Spirit’s Operation: The Spirit works in us to bring us into the reality of Christ.
– Teaching and Guiding: The anointing teaches us God’s truth and aligns us with His will.
– Abiding in Him: Remaining in fellowship with the Lord allows the anointing to work fully.
– Transformation through the Anointing: The Spirit transforms us into Christ’s image.
