Galatians 5:16, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
To live the Christian life is to walk in the Spirit. This is not just a theoretical concept but a daily, practical reality. Walking in the Spirit means living according to God’s nature, receiving guidance, strength, and wisdom from the Spirit of God who dwells within us.
Walking in the Spirit means being in constant fellowship with the Lord, being led by Him, and allowing Him to direct our steps. It involves turning to the Spirit for help in every situation and responding to His leading in all things.
When we walk in the Spirit, we find victory over the flesh and live a life that pleases God.
To walk in the Spirit:
1.Yield to the Spirit’s leading – Allow the Holy Spirit to direct your actions and decisions (Romans 8:14).
2.Live according to the Spirit’s desires – Choose to live according to God’s will rather than your own (Romans 8:5-6).
3.Fellowship with the Spirit – Spend time in prayer and the Word, allowing the Spirit to nurture and guide you (2 Corinthians 13:14).
Main Points:
– Walking in the Spirit: The Christian life is lived by the direction of the Holy Spirit.
– Victory Over the Flesh: By walking in the Spirit, we overcome the desires of the flesh.
– Living by the Spirit’s Desires: The Spirit leads us into God’s perfect will.
Prayer Confessions:
Lord, help me to walk in the Spirit and follow Your lead in every area of my life.
Empower me to live by Your desires, rather than the flesh’s pull.
May I continually fellowship with Your Spirit and be guided in Your ways, Amen.
