1 Corinthians 12:13, “For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.”
The Body of Christ is not merely an organization but an organism, a living entity constituted by the Spirit. The Spirit is the reality of the Body, uniting all believers and enabling them to function in harmony.
When we drink of the Spirit, we are supplied with the divine life and equipped to fulfill our portion in the Body. This drinking also brings us into fellowship with the members of the Body, building up the church as a living organism.
To experience the Spirit as the reality of the Body:
1.Be filled with the Spirit through prayer and singing (Ephesians 5:18-19).
2.Fellowship with the members of the Body, sharing and receiving life.
3.Exercise your function in the Body, relying on the Spirit’s supply.
