Devotional 130: The Light of Life in the Church

The good land is described as a land of hills and valleys, watered by the rain of heaven (Deuteronomy 11:11). This rain signifies the Spirit of God as the watering supply, enabling us to live in the light of life. When we dwell in Christ as the good land, we are illuminated by His light, and this light becomes our life.

The light of life not only exposes sin and darkness but also brings vitality and growth. In the church, this light enables fellowship and mutual building. As believers walk in the light, they shine as a testimony to the world, reflecting the life of Christ.

To live in the light of life, we must:
1.Walk according to the Spirit (Galatians 5:16).
2.Abide in the Word, which is a lamp to our feet (Psalm 119:105).
3.Be open to the shining of the divine light in our hearts (2 Corinthians 4:6).

Main Points:
– Christ as the Light of Life: His light dispels darkness and brings growth.
– Walking in the Light in the Church: Fellowship and unity thrive in the light.
– Testimony of the Light: The church shines as a beacon in a dark world.

Prayer Points:
Lord, shine Your light in my heart, exposing and removing all darkness.
May the light of life in me illuminate my path and draw others to You.
Cause the church to be a testimony of Your light in this age, Amen.
