Matthew 28:20;
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
John 14:16-18;
[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [18] I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
2 Corinthians 13:14,
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. The second epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi, a city of Macedonia, by Titus and Lucas.
When Jesus promised His disciples that He would be with them until the end of the age (Matthew 28:20), He was referring to His Spirit as the reality of His presence. The Spirit is not merely an influence but the very presence of Christ dwelling in us.
John 14:16-18 reveals that the Spirit comes to abide in us forever, ensuring that we are never left as orphans. The Spirit as the presence of Christ brings us into fellowship with the Triune God (2 Corinthians 13:14). This presence is a continual source of comfort, guidance, and empowerment in our daily lives.
By turning to the Spirit within, we experience Christ’s nearness and the fullness of His presence.
Main Points:
– The Spirit is the fulfillment of Christ’s promise to be with us always.
– Through the Spirit, we enjoy the presence of Christ dwelling in us.
– The Spirit brings us into fellowship with the Triune God.
