Romans 8:2;
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Galatians 5:25;
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
The Spirit is the reality of life, imparting the life of Christ into our being and enabling us to live according to God’s purpose. Romans 8:2 speaks of the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus setting us free from the law of sin and death. This Spirit is not only life itself but also operates as a law, spontaneously working in us to produce the life of Christ.
When we live by the Spirit, we enjoy the abundance of life that Christ promised in John 10:10. The Spirit continually supplies us, renewing us daily and energizing us to live victoriously.
To walk by the Spirit is to experience this life practically, making the divine life a reality in our daily living
Main Points:
– The Spirit is the source of life, liberating us from sin and death.
– Living by the Spirit allows us to enjoy Christ’s abundant life.
– The Spirit operates as a law, spontaneously transforming us.
