Hebrews 4:9-11;
[9] There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. [10] For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. [11] Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
Matthew 11:28-30;
[28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Exodus 33:14,
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
The good land signifies not only abundance but also rest. Hebrews 4:9-11 speaks of entering into God’s rest, where we cease from our own works and enjoy His finished work.
In Matthew 11:28-30, Christ invites us to come to Him and find rest for our souls.
Living in the good land means entering into God’s rest, where we rely on His provision and enjoy His presence. This rest is not merely physical but a deep spiritual rest in Christ, where our striving ends, and we live in harmony with His will.
Main Points:
– The good land is a land of rest, signifying peace and harmony with God.
– True rest comes from ceasing our works and trusting in God’s work.
– Resting in Christ enables us to enjoy His presence and provision fully.
