Deuteronomy 8:8; a land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;
Romans 11:17;
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Psalm 119:103,
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
The olive trees in the good land represent the Spirit of God, who produces the oil of anointing. This oil signifies the outpouring and inward working of the Spirit, which empowers and sanctifies us. Honey, on the other hand, represents the sweetness of enjoying the Lord through His Word.
In Romans 11:17, Paul speaks of being grafted into the olive tree, signifying our organic union with Christ. This union allows us to partake of the Spirit’s anointing and inward supply.
As we enjoy the honey of God’s Word, we are refreshed and sweetened, enabling us to live in the reality of the good land.
