Deuteronomy 8:7;
For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;
John 4:14;
but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Revelation 22:1-2
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. [2] In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
The good land is a land of fountains and springs, signifying the flowing life of the Triune God. These waters represent the supply of the Spirit, which flows to refresh, nourish, and empower us.
In John 4:14, the Lord promises that whoever drinks of the water He gives will never thirst, but that water will become a fountain springing up into eternal life.
In our experience, the fountains and springs remind us that our source is not in ourselves but in God.
As we drink of this living water daily through prayer and the Word, we are supplied with His divine life, enabling us to live victoriously and fruitfully.
