Ephesians 1:17-18,
[17] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: [18] the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Proverbs 29:18,
[18] Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
2 Corinthians 4:6
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
One of the characteristics of the good land is that it opens up spiritual vision and revelation. In Ephesians 1:17-18, Paul prays that God would give the believers the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that they may know the hope of His calling and the riches of His glorious inheritance. This is part of the inheritance of the good land—the ability to see the spiritual realities that God has prepared for us.
The good land is a land of vision, where the believer can see things from God’s perspective. Proverbs 29:18 reminds us that without a vision, people perish, but with revelation, we can live according to God’s purpose.
In the New Testament, we are given spiritual eyes to see Christ and to understand the riches of our inheritance in Him.
