The Reflection:

We are merely “earthen vessels”—fragile, common, and made of the dust of the earth. However, we contain an “infinite treasure,” which is the indwelling Christ. The beauty of this arrangement is that the vessel’s weakness highlights the Treasure’s glory. We do not need to be “perfect” vessels to be useful; we only need to be open and transparent. When we reach the end of our own strength, the “excellency of the power” of God becomes visible to everyone around us.

Practical Application:

Do not be discouraged by your limitations or weaknesses today. Instead, thank God that your “earthen” nature allows His power to shine through even more brightly.
