Isaiah 60:19, “The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.”
📖 Devotional Message
In our spiritual journey, we often rely on “natural light”—our own intelligence, external circumstances, or human encouragement—to find our way. However, this verse points to a transition from the temporary to the eternal. The sun and moon are symbols of a light that fluctuates and eventually sets. When the Lord becomes our “everlasting light,” we no longer depend on the highs and lows of our environment. This light is internal and constant; it is the presence of God Himself shining within our spirit, illuminating our path even when the world around us is in darkness.
Practical Application: Today, when you face a decision, don’t just look at the “natural” pros and cons. Take a moment to turn inward and ask the Lord to be the light that directs your inner sense of peace.
