Ephesians 5:8-9, “For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light—for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true.”
In the good land, the abundant sunlight nourishes all living things. This sunlight typifies Christ as the light of life.
To live in the light of Christ’s life is to walk in His presence and under His shining. This light exposes darkness, guides our steps, and produces the fruit of life in us.
When we live in the light, we reflect Christ’s life to others and become a testimony of His transforming work. The church as the Body of Christ is a collective expression of this light, shining as a city set on a hill (Matthew 5:14).
To live in the light:
1.Spend time in the Lord’s presence, allowing Him to shine on you.
2.Walk according to His Word, which is a lamp to your feet (Psalm 119:105).
3.Maintain fellowship with the saints, where light increases.
Main Points:
– Christ as the Light of Life: His light nourishes and transforms us.
– Walking in the Light: It produces goodness, righteousness, and truth.
– The Church as the Light: A corporate testimony of Christ’s shining.
Prayer Points:
Lord, shine on me and expose all darkness in my heart.
Guide me to walk in the light of Your Word daily.
May the church be a bright testimony of Your life and light, Amen.
