John 8:12; KJV
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
1 John 1:7; TPT
But if we keep living in the pure light that surrounds him, we share unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, continually cleanses us from all sin.
Psalm 119:105, KJV
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And a light unto my path.
In John 8:12, Jesus declares, “I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Christ as light illuminates our inward being, guiding us in His life and truth.
Toady I want to highlight that walking in the light requires a willingness to open to the Lord, confess sins, and stay in fellowship with Him. 1 John 1:7 assures us that if we walk in the light as God is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.
Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” The Word of God is the practical means by which Christ’s light shines into our hearts, exposing darkness and leading us into the way of righteousness.
Thought of the day/Main points – Christ as light illuminates our path and dispels darkness.
– Walking in the light requires fellowship and confession.
– The Word of God is a lamp that guides and reveals truth.
