Ephesians 2:15; KJV
having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Colossians 3:10-11;TPT
[10] For you have acquired new creation life which is continually being renewed into the likeness of the One who created you; giving you the full revelation of God. [11] In this new creation life, your nationality makes no difference, nor your ethnicity, education, nor economic status—they matter nothing. For it is Christ that means everything as he lives in every one of us!
1 Corinthians 12:13, AMP
For by one [Holy] Spirit we were all baptized into one body, [spiritually transformed—united together] whether Jews or Greeks (Gentiles), slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit [since the same Holy Spirit fills each life].
The church is not only the Body of Christ but also the new man, created in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:15 tells us that Christ abolished the ordinances of the law to create one new man. This new man is the corporate expression of Christ, where there is no distinction of race, culture, or social status (Colossians 3:10-11).
According to our teachings, the new man represents God’s intention to manifest His image and dominion through a unified corporate entity. In this new man, Christ is all and in all, and every member lives in harmony with others under His headship.
To live as the new man, we must put off the old self with its practices and put on the new self, renewed according to the image of Christ. This requires daily transformation through the Spirit and the Word, as well as practical oneness with other believers.
Thought of the day/Main points – The church as the new man fulfills God’s purpose for His corporate expression.
– In the new man, all distinctions are removed, and Christ is all in all.
– Living as the new man requires putting off the old self and being renewed in Christ.
Prayer Confessions:
Lord, thank You for making me part of the new man in Christ. Renew me daily to live in this reality.
Help me to put off the old self and put on the new self, reflecting Your image.
Lord, bring the church into full oneness as the corporate new man, Amen.
