Matthew 5:13, “Ye are the salt of the earth… Ye are the light of the world.
đź“– Devotional Message
The Reflection:Â
Our function in the world is twofold: to preserve and to illuminate. As “salt,” we are meant to prevent the moral and spiritual decay of society through our presence and character. As “light,” we are meant to expose the darkness and point the way to God. Notice that Christ says “Ye are“—this is our identity, not just a task. If we are saturated with the Spirit, we will naturally provide flavor, preservation, and guidance to everyone we encounter.
Practical Application:Â
In your workplace or community today, consider how you can be “salt”—bringing a different “flavor” to a conversation or acting with integrity where it is missing.
LUGANDA:
Okufumiitiriza:
Omulimu gwaffe mu nsi gulina emirundi ebiri: okukuuma n’okumulisiza. Nga “omunnyo,” tugendereddwamu okuziyiza okuvunda kw’empisa n’omwoyo mu bantu nga tuyita mu kubeerawo kwaffe n’empisa zaffe. Nga “ekitangaala,” tugendereddwa okubikkula ekizikiza n’okusonga ekkubo eri Katonda. Weetegereze nti Kristo agamba nti “Mmwe muli” — kino kye ndagamuntu yaffe, so si mulimu gwokka. Singa tujjula Omwoyo, mu butonde tujja kuwa obuwoomi, okukuuma, n’obulagirizi eri buli muntu gwe tusanga.Â
Okukozesa mu nkola:
Mu kifo kyo w’okolera oba mu kitundu kyo leero, lowooza ku ngeri gy’oyinza okuba “omunnyo” —okuleeta “akawoowo” ak’enjawulo mu mboozi oba okweyisa mu bwesimbu we bubula.
