Devotional 186: The Anointing and the Spirit’s Seal

The anointing of the Spirit is accompanied by His sealing, marking us as God’s possession. Just as a seal signifies ownership and authenticity, the Spirit’s seal confirms that we belong to God and bear His image.

The anointing not only establishes our identity in Christ but also guarantees God’s work in us until it is fully completed.
Abiding in the anointing allows the Spirit’s imprint to become more evident in our lives.

As we live under the Spirit’s anointing, we are increasingly conformed to Christ and bear His likeness, becoming His testimony on earth.

Main Points:
– Sealed by the Spirit: The Spirit’s seal confirms our identity as God’s possession.
– Authenticity and Ownership: The anointing marks us as belonging to God.
– Conformation to Christ: Abiding in the anointing makes us His living testimony.
– The Guarantee of the Spirit: The anointing assures us of God’s completed work.

Reflections
Meditate on the Spirit’s work of sealing and anointing in your life. Consider how you can live more fully as a testimony of God’s ownership and authenticity.

Prayer Confessions:
Lord, thank You for sealing me with Your Spirit and marking me as Your own.
Let the anointing establish me firmly in my identity in Christ.
Conform me to Your image and make me a living testimony of Your work.
Keep me abiding in the anointing, bearing Your likeness in all I do.
Assure me of Your completed work through the Spirit’s seal and pledge, Amen.
