Devotional 46: The Grace of Christ as Our Supply

Grace is not merely God’s unmerited favor but the very embodiment of Christ as our life supply. Grace is Christ Himself experienced and enjoyed by us in our daily living. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, Paul testifies of the sufficiency of Christ’s grace in his weakness, showing us that grace is God doing everything for us that we cannot do ourselves.

John 1:16 reveals that the fullness of Christ is available to us as “grace upon grace.” This indicates an endless supply, meeting our every need and enabling us to grow in life. Grace is not static; it is dynamic, increasing as we grow deeper in our relationship with the Lord.

To experience this grace, we must come boldly to the throne of grace (Heb. 4:16). Here we find mercy for our failures and receive the timely help of grace to meet our needs. Grace transforms us inwardly, empowering us to live a life that expresses Christ and fulfills God’s purpose.
