Colossians 2:17; AMP
Such things are only a shadow of what is to come and they have only symbolic value; but the substance [the reality of what is foreshadowed] belongs to Christ.
John 14:6; AMP
Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
Hebrews 1:3 TPT
The Son is the dazzling radiance of God’s splendor, the exact expression of God’s true nature—his mirror image! He holds the universe together and expands it by the mighty power of his spoken word. He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins, and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand of the majestic One.
Colossians 2:17 reveals that Christ is the reality of all the shadows in the Old Testament. Whether it is the Passover lamb, the manna, or the tabernacle, all point to Christ as the fulfillment. In John 14:6, Jesus declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Truth here means reality, signifying that everything in God’s purpose is centered in Christ.
We always teach that to experience Christ as the reality is to see Him as the substance and fulfillment of God’s promises. Hebrews 1:3 describes Christ as the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being. He is not only our Savior but also our life, righteousness, sanctification, and everything else we need.
When we focus on Christ as the reality, we are freed from mere rituals and drawn into the enjoyment of the living Person who is our all in all.
Thought of the day/Main points – Christ is the reality of all Old Testament types and shadows.

– Christ fulfills God’s promises and meets every need in our spiritual journey.
