John 1:4: “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”
Ephesians 4:15-16: “But holding to truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, Christ, out from whom all the Body, being joined together and being knit together through every joint of the rich supply… causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love.”
Christ as life is the source of our growth, and Christ as light is the guidance and direction for our building. John 1:4 shows that the life in Christ becomes the light of men. This light shines in our hearts, exposing darkness and guiding us into God’s purpose.
Ephesians 4:15-16 reveals that as we grow in Christ as life and walk in His light, the Body is built up in love. Every believer must hold to the truth, function in their measure, and supply the Body for its growth and building.
To experience this, we must daily receive His life through prayer and the Word, allowing His light to enlighten our inner being. As we do so, we are transformed, and the Body is knit together in love for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose.

Prayer Confessions:
Lord, thank You for being my life and light for growth and building.
Shine Your light into my heart and expose all darkness within me.
Cause me to grow in life so that I may contribute to the building of Your Body.
Knit us together in love for the growth of the church.
Transform me daily and make me a functioning member in Your Body, Amen.
