Devotional 31: Transformation by Beholding the Glory of Christ

Transformation is a process that begins when we behold the glory of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18 declares, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.” Transformation is not mere outward change but an inward renewal of our being.

I want to explain to us that this transformation occurs as we turn our hearts to the Lord, allowing the Spirit to work within us. Romans 12:2 exhorts us not to be conformed to this age but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This involves putting off the old man and putting on the new man, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of Christ (Colossians 3:10).

Beholding the Lord in prayer, the Word, and fellowship draws us into His presence, where His glory changes us to express Him in our daily lives.
