Galatians 5:16-17; KJV
[16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. [17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Romans 8:4; TPT
So now every righteous requirement of the law can be fulfilled through the Anointed One living his life in us. And we are free to live, not according to our flesh, but by the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit!
Ephesians 5:18, TPT
And don’t get drunk with wine, which is rebellion; instead be filled continually with the Holy Spirit.
Walking in the Spirit is central to experiencing the reality of Christ as life. Galatians 5:16-17 urges us to “walk by the Spirit, and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh.” To walk in the Spirit is to live moment by moment in fellowship with Him, allowing Him to lead and empower us.
In my teachings I always highlight that the Spirit is both the essence of Christ’s life and the dynamic power enabling us to overcome the flesh. Romans 8:4 confirms that fulfilling the righteous requirement of the law is possible only as we walk according to the Spirit.
Ephesians 5:18 encourages us to be filled with the Spirit, emphasizing a continuous experience of His fullness.
Walking in the Spirit transforms our daily lives, enabling us to bear the fruit of the Spirit and express Christ in all we do.
Thought of the day/Main points – Walking in the Spirit overcomes the desires of the flesh.
– The Spirit empowers us to fulfill God’s righteous requirements.
– Being filled with the Spirit brings joy, peace, and victory.
