John 6:35; TPT
Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life. Come every day to me and you will never be hungry. Believe in me and you will never be thirsty.
John 6:57; TPT
The Father of life sent me, and he is my life. In the same way, the one who feeds upon me, I will become his life.
Matthew 4:4, KJV
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
In John 6:35, Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall by no means hunger, and he who believes into Me shall by no means ever thirst.” Christ as the bread of life meets our deepest spiritual hunger.
We teach that Christ as the living bread is both our satisfaction and sustenance. Just as physical bread nourishes our bodies, Christ nourishes our spirits. John 6:57 further reveals that we are to live because of Him, taking Him in as our source of life daily.
Matthew 4:4 reminds us that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The Word of God is the practical way we feed on Christ. As we receive Him through the Word, we experience life and vitality in our Christian walk.
Thought of the day/Main points – Christ is the living bread that satisfies our spiritual hunger.
– Feeding on Him through the Word sustains our spiritual life.
– Living because of Christ involves daily fellowship and dependence on Him.
