Acts 20:32; KJV
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
Ephesians 2:8-10; TPT
[8] For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ! [9] So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving. [10] We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!
1 Corinthians 15:10, TPT
But God’s amazing grace has made me who I am! And his grace to me was not fruitless. In fact, I worked harder than all the rest, yet not in my own strength but God’s, for his empowering grace is poured out upon me.
Acts 20:32 states, “And now I commit you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who have been sanctified.” Grace is not only the basis of our salvation but also the supply for our growth and building up in Christ.
We teach and explain that grace is God in Christ as our enjoyment and supply. Ephesians 2:8-10 shows that grace not only saves us but also empowers us to live out God’s purpose. Paul’s testimony in 1 Corinthians 15:10 reveals that he labored abundantly, yet it was not him but the grace of God within him.
As we receive and enjoy God’s grace, we are strengthened to contribute to the building up of the church. This grace equips us to fulfill our unique function in the Body of Christ.
